The Greek Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs, in cooperation with the Council of Europe and with the participation of the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, is organizing the summer school “Beyond the refugee crisis – Studying in Europe”.
The majority of Greek Universities in cooperation with the Ministry of education have decided to implement a number of actions relative to education of refugees. Each University will provide some services and courses and they will create e-learning platforms to support lessons which refugees could attend in order to improve their languages skills.

The Greek Ministry of education tries to enhance and improve the educational level of refugee children in order to gain basic knowledge of the Greek language.
European Commission is trying to enhance the educational level of immigrants by providing a wide variety of services relative to immigrants. From language learning to the recognition of qualifications, education is a part of the solution throughout the integration process. There are a lot of programs and initiatives contributing on this effort and Erasmus+ is one of them.
The application is the official Greek state’s means of communication and information between the Asylum Service and the refugees.It aims to help people who move into Greece from the borders, seeking for international protection and want to apply for asylum.
